Bulgur wheat chop


"Bulgur wheat chop" is an ideal recipe for picnic, breakfast, dinner or snack. It is an easy recipe, but at the same time full.

RECIPE PREPARATION Bulgur wheat chop:

Heat the soup or water until it starts to boil. Put the washed and chopped bulgur and parsley in a bowl, mix them a little, then pour the boiling water over them and let the bulgur absorb all the water.

Put the oil, finely chopped onion, crushed and chopped garlic, a finely chopped bell pepper in a pan and leave them for 8-10 minutes until they brown a little.

Beat the egg lightly and put half in the composition with bulgur and mix well, and the other half in a bowl in which we put the sausage meat, the onion mixture, the ketchup and mix until it is well mixed.

In a larger cake pan or cake, greased with oil, put the chopped pepper thin strips and green onion leaves, then divide the meat composition into three parts and place one part above the peppers in the pan, leveling well with a spoon. We add a layer of bulgur, then another layer of meat, a layer of bulgur and the last layer of meat. Cover the meat tray with aluminum foil and put it in another tray with enough water to cover half of the meat tray, then put everything in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for an hour and a half or until it is ready.

After an hour and a half, take out the aluminum foil and put it in the oven for another 15 minutes until it takes on a little color on top. until the next day when we can cut it.

  2. Meanwhile, cut the pepper rings in half and arrange, slightly overlapping, at the base of a greased cake pan, which does not stick with the dimensions of 23 cm X 13 cm.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (position 4). Heat the oil in a pan and cook the chopped peppers, garlic and onion for about 10 minutes.
  4. Half of the beaten egg is mixed with the bulgur wheat, then, in a separate bowl, mix the rest of the egg with the sausage meat, tomato paste and pepper mixture.
  5. Carefully pour 1/3 of the sausage mixture over the pepper rings and smooth at the corners. Put 1/3 of the wheat on top. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of sausage meat. Level it on top and cover it with aluminum foil.
  6. Place the tray in a baking tray that holds enough boiled water to reach half the height of the tray. Bake in the center of the oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until it has set and baked well. Drain excess fat. Allow the mince to cool in the pan, then cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. It is served cut into thick slices, with tomatoes, celery, pickles and crispy bread.

Bulgur recipe with chicken breast

What do you need?

  • 200 gr bulgur Sano Vita
  • half a maaaare chicken breast or a small one
  • 2 capsicums
  • a small onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 tomatoes
  • 300-400 ml of water
  • a tablespoon of Sanovita oil
  • spices to taste

How is it prepared?

Wash the chicken breast well, cut it into pieces and season to taste. I added salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary and a little spice for the chicken. Fry in a tablespoon of hot oil. When it is almost ready, add the finely chopped onion and garlic, then the pepper and diced tomatoes. Let it soak for a few minutes, then add the bulgur and a little vegetable mix. Add the water and let them simmer.

Since bulgur is very swollen, the amount of water should be about twice that of bulgur. In 10-15 minutes the food is ready. It can be served hot or cold and is tasty and filling.

Lately I've been busy with cans for the winter and I haven't shown you a real, simple and good recipe for a long time, as I used to. I am now taking revenge with this bulgur pilaf with chicken legs, tomatoes and thyme. A goodness like at home mom!

For me, bulgur has been something completely unknown for a long time. I had heard that name before, but it sounded like something very exotic and oriental. I had no idea it was actually a favorite mixture of wheat grains, full of vitamins and nutrients.

Now, after I started using it quite often, I would say that it looks more like rice, because in fact in many recipes I now put bulgur instead of rice. I find it much tastier and in addition, it boils faster. I put it in stuffed peppers, in sarmale, in salads like tabouleh and pilaf, as in today's recipe. I even made bulgur with milk (just like rice pudding) and I really liked it.

Bulgur can be found in health food stores, in the market, where bulk products are sold, or if you want to order it online, we saw that the ones from Vegis have interesting variants, from organic bulgur to Turkish brown bulgur. The brown one tempts me too, I haven't tried it yet.


  • 300 g Bulgur
  • 1 Canned with chopped tomatoes
  • 1 Canned beans
  • 1 Canned corn
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 piece Garlic clove
  • 1 piece Avocado
  • 20 g Parsley, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Veggy Hot + Spicy seasoning mixture
  • 1 knife tip Iodized sea salt
  • 1 a knife tip Black peppercorns
  • A little lime juice

Peel the onion and garlic, cut them into small pieces and fry them in a pan with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. After two minutes, add 1 teaspoon of Kotányi Veggy Hot + Spicy mixture, then pour the bulgur and leave to fry for about 3 minutes.

Add the chopped tomatoes, fill the pot halfway with water and add the canned juice. Season with salt and pepper, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add more water if necessary.

Rinse the beans and corn well in a sieve and let them drain. Cut an avocado in half, then use a spoon to remove the core from the peel and slice it. Rinse and finely chop the parsley.

Two minutes before the end of cooking, add the beans and corn and sprinkle a little lime juice.


How to prepare bulgur and quinoa salad

Boil the bread in a bowl. When it boils, add a little salt and the mixture of bulgur and quinoa. Boil for 10 minutes, then drain in a sieve.

Meanwhile, wash the salad and dry it in a centrifuge. Peel an onion and chop it according to your preference. Slice the tomatoes and cucumbers.

In a large bowl put the mixture of bulgur and quinoa, then add the other ingredients. Salt to taste, add lemon juice and olive oil.

Mix gently and the salad is ready to eat. Good appetite!
