A delicious roll, not too sweet, with a fragrant orange aroma and a special texture of the top due to poppy seeds.
- Wheat ingredient:
- 4 eggs,
- 4 tablespoons flour,
- 4 tablespoons sugar,
- 1 teaspoon baking soda with vinegar,
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds,
- a pinch of salt,
- For the cream:
- 400 ml orange juice,
- 2 tablespoons orange jam,
- 3 tablespoons food starch,
- 3-4 tablespoons sugar.

RECIPE PREPARATION Roll with poppy seeds and orange cream:
Separate the eggs, rub the yolks with the sugar and baking soda. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and add them over the yolks. Sift the flour over the yolks, add the poppy seeds and mix with the back of the spoon from the bottom up. Pour the composition into the stove tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 25 minutes.
After baking, roll the top tightly in a damp towel.
Cream: We mix the starch with 100 ml of orange juice. Put the rest of the juice in a saucepan together with the sugar and jam over low heat. When the sugar has melted and starts to boil, add the starch mixture and mix for a few minutes until it thickens. Let the cream cool.
Carefully open the worktop, grease it with cream and roll it tightly, wrap it in a sheet of cellophane and leave it to cool for about 30 minutes.
