Puff pastry balls stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella

Cut cubes of mozzarella and ham and mix

We cut the puff pastry into approximately equal squares and in the middle we put a teaspoon of the mixture of prosiutto and mozzarella. We gather the foil like a bag.

Place the balls in a tray lined with baking paper, grease them with beaten egg and sprinkle poppy seeds on top.

Place in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about half an hour.

Bruschetta with ham and mozzarella

I know I missed it a bit multisor from the blog and I apologize if I failed to promptly answer all questions and comments. Well, I enjoyed my vacation to the fullest. That is, as much as possible, without phones, computer and others: D. But now it's time to get back to work and, to get it off to a good start, I suggest some bruschettas. Nothing sophisticated, that is, easy to prepare, but very good, suitable for breakfast, but also for dinner. Especially since we put prosciutto and silky mozzarella on slices of Italian bread thoroughly rubbed with garlic and sprinkled with olive oil. I hope you've already had a craving: D & # 8230

As for the bread, you can use ciabatta, but also French baguette. I took an Italian bread from Mega Image, a baguette-ciabatta combination. Then, if you don't want to spend too much money on prosciutto, you can also make bruschettas with ham & # 8220Padurea neagra & # 8221. If you want to make bruschettas for guests, you can prepare them until they are put in the oven.

If you are a bruschetta fan, you should try other options (find HERE details).

Ingredients (for 4 servings):
& # 8211 bread (& # 8220bagheta & # 8221 italieneasca) 8 slices (about 190 g)
& # 8211 8-slice ham (100 g)
& # 8211 mozzarella 100 g
& # 8211 garlic 1 large puppy
& # 8211 1 tablespoon olive oil
& # 8211 fresh parsley 1/2 link
& # 8211 freshly ground pepper

Heat a grill pan and fry the slices of bread, sprinkled with olive oil. When the slices are fried on one side, rub them, on the fried side, with garlic (cut the puppy in half, lengthwise). Place them in a tray with the fried side down and put a slice of prosciutto / ham on each slice, and mozzarella on top. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and freshly ground pepper. Put the tray in the oven, under the grill (if you don't have a grill, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius). Leave for about 3-4 minutes, until a little mozzarella melts.

Caprese salad with ham

Caprese Salad or “Caprese Salad” is a salad of Italian origin, but which has become famous all over the world! It is a delicious, simple salad that is prepared from several ingredients. For caprese salad we need tasty tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil. It is a perfect salad for summer, when the tomatoes are in high season and are tasty. However, you can also prepare it in winter, if you find tasty tomatoes at the store. It's a wonderful appetizer! Caprese salad is native to Capri Island, perfect for a summer lunch or dinner. You can season it with basil pesto or balsamic vinegar. If you liked this video recipe and would like to see others like it, please subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Ingredients Caprese salad with ham:

  • 250 g fresh mozzarella
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 70 g raw ham
  • fresh basil
  • olive oil
  • pepper
  • balsamic vinegar cream (optional)

We wash the tomatoes. We cut the mozzarella into suitable slices. We cut the tomatoes into slices of the same thickness as the mozzarella slices. We place them on a plate, we put prosciutto in half, then on the edge the slices of tomatoes with the mozzarella ones - see video. Sprinkle with salt (preferably- I chose not to add salt, because prosciutto is salty). Garnish with fresh basil leaves, pepper, sprinkle generously with a good olive oil, extra virgin and preferably with balsamic vinegar cream.

Corn cakes with various fillings prepared on the grill

I prepared these corn cakes with various fillings prepared on the grill, reminding me of my childhood, when my grandmother used to prepare some corn cakes baked in the hot hearth of the old stoves.

They were so good, they had a crispy crust and burned in places, but very tasty!

And the cornmeal interior mixed with flour and often with cheese, eggs, scallops or sausages.

And I served them with country yogurt, yummy, salivating instantly at such childhood memories!

In the absence of such a stove or rustic brick or clay oven, I resorted to mine grill with the effect of hot stone, which I have loved very much since he stopped by my kitchen.

I have talked about this grill in previous articles, but if you want details about its qualities, you can find them by accessing this link, where you can order it.
I recommend it with great confidence!

Chop the onion, pepper and tomatoes and sauté in a little oil for a few minutes. Drain the oil and add over the cheese mixture. Homogenize and fill the dough baskets. Bake at high temperature (380 f-195C) until golden.

Pizza Calzone with Mozzarella and Ham

Dissolve honey and yeast in water in a cup. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Mix the flour well with the salt then pour the water and with a fork formed in a dough (if the dough is too dry add a few more drops of water).

Transfer to a surface with sprinkled flour and knead for 8-10 minutes or until the dough is elastic and firm, then formed into a ball. Put a little olive oil in a deep bowl and grease on the edges and the dough on all sides, cover the bowl with a towel or plastic wrap and leave for at least 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 190 c (gas 5). Cut the mozzarella into slices and prepare the rest of the ingredients at hand. Sprinkle the flour on the surface and on the dough then divide it in half. Take a piece and spread it in a circle with a diameter between 28-30 cm.

Grease it with 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce, leaving about 3 cm on the edges, spread oregano, a little pepper and then arrange 50 of the prosciutto, 125 g of mozzarella and basil in half. Bring the other side on top and seal well on the edge (start at one end and roll the dough with one hand and press with the other finger to seal). Do the same with the rest of the dough.

Transfer to a tray with aluminum foil and bake for about 20-25 minutes (depending on the oven).
Optionally serve with a little extra virgin olive oil infused with chili on top.

Puff pastry balls stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella - Recipes

This recipe for pan-fried cheese pies is of Afghan origin and I found it under the name of Bolani, but this version with cheese is Caucasian, it is called & # 8220Кавказские Лепёшки & # 8221 and their traditional filling contains, in addition to sweet cheese, a lot of greens: parsley, dill and green onions, all finely chopped. But I adapted the original recipe to our tastes, so I gave up the greens and mixed the sweet cheese with the buffalo telemea, the house favorite. The pies are not fried in oil, but baked in a hot pan (as on the stove) until browned on both sides, then greased with melted butter (if you want to be a little more dietary you can give up butter but the pies will be a little dry) .

I think they can be baked in the oven, but I haven't tried this option, but if you try them in the oven, please leave me a comment and tell me how they turned out.

My source of inspiration for this recipe can be found here Кавказские Лепёшки, I really liked it because it is a very easy to make pie, quite dietetic because it does not fry in oil and is extremely tasty.

  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • basil leaves (oregano or parsley)

Wash the pumpkins, cut them into thin slices, sprinkle with salt and pepper and place them in a tray (23 & # 21523 cm).

Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the larger chopped onion until soft. Add a tablespoon, two tablespoons of water so it doesn't burn.

Distribute the onion evenly over the zucchini in the pan.

Put mozzarella and a few whole basil leaves on top. Bake at 180 ° C for 30-35 minutes until the mozzarella melts and the zucchini softens slightly. I cut thicker slices just to keep it crispy.

Eat simple zucchini or as a side dish with a piece of grilled meat. A delight, good appetite!

Lettuce salad with tomatoes

Outside is a terrible heat wave, so today I propose a alac salad with tomatoes (Spelled salad with tomatoes), o recipe cool, light, high in fiber and quick to prepare.

Alacul (Triticum monococcum) is a cereal from the grass family, constituting, since long ago, an alternative for wheat. Even if lately it is used on a much smaller scale, bread from flour spelled it has a charm, a fragrance and a special taste.

The salad can be prepared the day before and stored in the refrigerator, so ideal for a tasty, cool and healthy lunch. At home, during the lunch break or at the beach, during the holidays, this salad is a solution that you will not fail.

Its variants are also innumerable. I opted for one recipe basic, simple but tasty, recipe from the culinary tradition of the simple world of Italian villages. There are, as I said, more elaborate recipes that provide for the use of other ingredients, such as & bdquomozzarella & rdquo, & bdquoprosciutto cotto & rdquo, onions, cucumbers or canned tuna. I prefer it as simple as the following:
